    Hello! I am Kristen Morgan- a girl in her 30's (when did that happen?!?) and a laugh enthusiast who's world revolves around my "sonshine". I love things made from paper, the water, Mexican food with margaritas, flip-flop weather and iPhone-tography. I also love "real" cameras, which is where this website comes in to play. I'm the owner of LanierStar Photography and a full-time photographer based in the St. Augustine / Jacksonville, FL area.

    LanierStar photographs Weddings and Portraits throughout North and Central Florida, and SE Georgia. I'm also available for travel. My personality is fun and laid back, which helps people feel comfortable around me. At the same time my years spent managing businesses ensures that your experience will be positive and professional. My photography style is candid, using photojournalism to capture you in real life. Then I combine that with artistic portraiture and an attention to details to fully capture your day.

Josh & Heather’s beach wedding | St. Augustine, FL destination wedding photographer

Joshua and Heather picked a beautiful day for a beach wedding!  They were married on St. Augustine Beach, Florida against sunny blue skies, with a nice breeze that kept everyone cool.  Here is a gorgeous Heather moments before the ceremony:

Touches of the beach were brought into the reception which was held at Amici’s- voted the finest Italian restaurant in St. Augustine for too many years to count.  The banquet facilities there are beautiful and roomy.

I could tell what fun-loving people Heather & Josh are from the moment I met them.  Add to that the fact that Josh is crazy- in a good way!  So, I wasn’t surprised when they told me they planned on smashing the cake into the faces of the Best Man and Maid of Honor.  As you can see the MOH had quicker reflexes than the BM!

After the reception the bridal party headed back out to the beach to work off the cake.  ;)

At the end of the day the 3 of us took about 2 hours in downtown St. Augustine taking pictures.  We had a great time and got some beautiful photos for them to remember the day by.  I highly recommend to all of my couples that they set aside time for photos.  I know everyone has different priorities, but if photographs is one of your wedding priorities then let’s get together when you are making your wedding itinerary.  I have lots of experience fitting a photo session into your packed-full day!

Kristen, I would like to thank you very much for taking my daughters engagement and wedding pictures. The engagement pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I just know the wedding pictures are going to be even better. Absolutely breathtaking.. I went to school with Heather many many years ago, and to see the smile and light in her eyes is so beautiful..

You gave me a lot of inspiration on some of the shots that I wish I had tried with my sisters wedding but will be able to try with my next.. keep up the good work Kristen! And when I get married I will keep you in mind as my photographer!
