I had a great time getting out of town and shooting Mel & Carrie’s engagement session. Mel is a history buff, so we hit Fort Clinch State Park in Carrie’s hometown of Fernandina Beach, FL. Here is a little sneak peek of their session:

Let me just say- it’s a good thing that I am loving the above photo- considering the pain and anguish we went through to get it! I truly believe that the 10 foot area around this wall is the “sandspur capitol” of Florida. As I was trying to find the exact spot I wanted for this shot my foot suddenly was filled with a thousand pin pricks. I had worn thin ballet flats and looked down to see the entire outside of my shoe covered in sand spurs. OUCH! I hated to miss the good light and didn’t dare take my shoe off, so I hobbled around on the inside of my foot. I know I looked really cool because Mel & Carrie were both laughing. :) After this shot we all took a break to pull off the worst of our little hitch hikers. If you hate these things as much as I do then check out some tips I found by clicking HERE and HERE.

I hope you two love them. See you for your Amelia Island wedding next August!
